Allegations of ’superuser’ accounts and dodgy dealings at Pitbull Poker have surfaced on the 2+2 poker forum in the last week.

For those that might not know, the 2+2 poker forum was where the original investigation into superuser accounts at Absolute Poker, and later Ultimate Bet were started.

Both of those cases turned out to be true, after serious and sustained in-depth investigation by 2+2 forum members.

Now the spotlight has been turned on Pitbull Poker, with a number of threads looking into all areas of the company’s operations.

While we will be watching this investigation very closely, we are not for the moment going to pull the no deposit bonus offer at Pitbull Poker.

This is, after all, free money, and there is no risk to players in claiming it. However, part of the requirements for cashing out any winnings from the free bonus at Pitbull, is that you will be required to make a deposit first, in order to verify your identity. We are advising players NOT to make any deposit at Pitbull Poker until this matter has been resolved fully.

Anyone wishoing to look into this further should also check out this other Pitbull poker related post on the 2+2 poker forum. For those unfamiliar with 2+2, it is one of the most highly respected online poker forums, with some well known online poker personalities resident there.

DO please note that while threads such as the above linked ones are fresh they will contain a lot of superfluous nonsense and spurious allegations, but in the end the condensed version will undoubtedly contain all that is relevant to the case.

The investigation at the time of writing is currently being held up as player hand histories are not available for download in a usable format. The Pitbull Poker site is a flash based operating system, and there seems to be a lot of difficulty in retrieving the hand histories in a format that would lend itself to analysis by some of the more popular poker analysis tools.

It was analysis of the hand histories of specific players accounts at Absolute Poker that clearly showed those ’superuser’ accounts impossibly prescient play.

So, to reiterate, we are NOT pulling the Pitbull Poker bonus for now. We will continue to promote it to our players while this investigation is ongoing, with the important provisio that we recommend that players DO NOT deposit on Pitbull Poker until this issue has been resolved.
